Much of healthcare leaves people in the dark...

Light the way to
something better

A letter from our co-founder:

Healthcare delivery, as it stands now, is so deeply broken. And that’s because its underlying structure is rooted in all kinds of inequity –culturally, financially, institutionally, this list goes on. You’re a patient, not a person. Your doctor is part of a special club, and you aren’t. If you finally get an appointment to see said doctor, you better be fine with waiting. In a cold sterile room. Naked. Costs? Your guess is as good as ours.

I started Firefly to bring respect and dignity back into healthcare. And a huge part of that means removing the friction. Our job at Firefly is to make it as easy as possible for people to get the care they need. We’re your partner, not an elevated member of a special club who you’re lucky enough to get fifteen minutes with once a year. Under one roof, we’ve reinvented primary care, the network, the health plan, and the technology that makes it all work. And yet, somehow, it feels like we’re just getting started.

We've rebuilt Healthcare so it actually works.

Engage members, empower their care, earn their trust, remove friction. From our clinical model to our coverage design, our analytics to our app, this is the heart of everything we do. Because to receive healthcare is to be vulnerable. To consistently get better outcomes, people need to feel seen, heard, supported. That’s where we start.

The Firefly Story

1. Provide care that actually works.

In 2017 we launched with a virtual-first, proactive approach to primary care. This meant 24/7 access to comprehensive care, focusing on both body and mind, all easily accessible from your phone. Building trust and changing lives, one patient at a time.

2. Work with the
best network

We recognized the need for diverse care options. We partnered with a wide network of providers to offer virtual, in-person, and at-home care, ensuring everyone, anywhere can access the care they need. It's healthcare that meets you where you are.

3. Wrap it up in accountability

To deepen our impact and prioritize outcomes, we created our own Firefly Health Plan. This allows us to negotiate directly with providers, ensuring accessible and affordable care. We believe healthcare should be simple and affordable for everyone, and we're making it happen.

4. Keep it refreshingly convenient

We believe healthcare shouldn't be a hassle. That's why we offer full-service care on your terms. No waiting, no friction, just convenient and accessible healthcare. We take the "headache" out of healthcare, so you can focus on what matters most.

than it does to treat it. Right now, we have an opportunity to align our institutions and our choices with that reality.” ”

Awards? We've got awards.

We're not here to toot our own horn, but hey, seeing these shiny badges does make us smile. They're a testament to the amazing work our team does every day to help people experience better healthcare.

That Firefly feeling

Our name is a metaphor, for sure – fireflies are that warm, guiding light in the dark – but it’s also a feeling. There’s something so comforting about spotting fireflies on a summer night. Like things are as they should be. Our job is to create healthcare experiences that inspire that same all-is-well feeling.
