What is Contrave?

Contrave is a medication that comes as a pill. It helps reduce your hunger and cravings for food. While using it, you’ll also work with your health guide to get more physical activity and eat for better health.

Medication schedule

You take Contrave every day, but you won’t start at the full amount. It’s important to slowly raise your dose to make sure your body can handle it. Contact us right away if you have vomiting, severe pain in your belly, suicidal thoughts, or other new symptoms.

Here’s your medication schedule:

  • Week 1. Take 1 pill in the morning for 7 days.
  • Week 2. Take 1 pill in the morning and 1 pill in the evening for 7 days.
  • Week 3. Take 2 pills in the morning and 1 pill in the evening for 7 days.
  • Week 4. Take 2 pills in the morning and 2 pills in the evening for 7 days.

You reach the full dose at week 4. Keep taking this amount until we check in at week 12.
